How it works

From roll to press-ready pile

Side view, material running left to right. The web leaves the top of the reel, runs over two guide rollers and under the decurl bar for a reverse bend, and is held on line by the edge sensor. Overlapping top and bottom knives slit it; the cut happens where the web touches the lower quadrant of the counter-clockwise knife drum, against a fixed bed knife (single rotary: TKSC, TNSC, GTM).against a second drum turning clockwise, the two blades meeting at the web (twin rotary: TW). The slow belt makes the sheets shingle into the layboy, where the pallet and its steel plate lower as the pile grows.

Unwind

Holds the reel and controls web tension.

Decurl & guide

Reverse-bends the web to remove reel curl; an edge sensor keeps it on line.

Slit

Overlapping top and bottom knives split the web and trim the edges.

Rotary cut

The drum knife cuts against a fixed bed knife, to the length set on the touch screen.

Overlap

A slower belt makes the sheets shingle so edges stay clean.

Layboy

Pallet and steel plate lower as the pile grows; piles up to 1,300 mm.
